Summary:To provide a flat filter element which reliably assures fluid tight seal separation between the untreated side and the clean side, supports a filter element at a specifically selected height upon insertion and forms a channel on the specified inflow or outflow side so as to permit passage through a support.SOLUTION: A flat filter element includes: a filter medium main body 9 of a rectangular parallelepiped; and at least one support member 13 which is provided on the filter medium main body, rises on the upper side of the inflow side or the outflow side and supports a housing component. The support member acts on a seal element arranged on a filter medium main body, the support member is arranged on a carrier rail 12, a carrier frame 10 which carries a seal 11 fixed on the filter medium main body is provided, the carrier rail is extended adjacently to a lateral wall of the filter medium main body and, at the same time, carries the seal element and the carrier rail is connected with the carrier frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
