Summary:The invention relates to a press brake (2) for bending metal sheets (3). The press brake (2) comprises a first fixed press beam (4), and a second press beam (7) which can be moved relative to the first press beam, also comprising tool receiving elements (5) arranged or formed on the press beams (4, 7) for receiving bending tools (6), a tool magazine (36) for storing bending tools (6) when not in use, a tool changing device (16) which is designed to insert the bending tool (6) into the tool receiving element (5) and a gripping device (11) for manipulating the bending tool (6). Also, a tool preparation device (19) is provided to accommodate several bending tools (6) and which can be moved by means of a drive device (28) between a tool fitting position (41) for fitting the tool preparation device (19) with a bending tool (6) from the tool magazine (36), and a tool changing position (40) in which the bending tools (6) can be transferred by means of the tool changing device (16) from the tool preparation device (19) into the tool receiving element (5).
