Summary: | A self-cleaning vacuum cleaner has a filter 53 which is vibrated by a motor 51 at a range of frequencies to dislodge accumulated dirt and dust. The filter 53 is mounted on a projection 48 which extends axially of a tube 45. The dislodged dirt and dust falls into a collection chamber formed at the bottom of a tube in which the filter 53 is mounted. The upper end of the tube 45 forms a filter. The motor 51 is actuated when a power switch of the device is turned on or off. |
