Summary:A charger built into this rolling bearing unit for wheel support is used to detect the output voltage of a generator and compute the rotational speed of a hub. When the rotational speed of the hub is in a low-speed state in which a sensor and a wireless communications device are operated using power from a battery, the frequency with which a wireless communications circuit wirelessly communicates with a calculator disposed on the vehicle body side is changed in accordance with the rotational speed of the hub and the traveling speed of the vehicle.
