Summary:An electronic device and a method of controlling the electronic device are provided. The electronic device comprises: a housing; a roll at least partially contained in the housing; a display configured to be rolled on the roll, the display comprising a display area having a size that changes according to a rotation of the roll; a sensor configured to sense the size of the display area; and a processor electrically connected to the display and the sensor, wherein the processor is further configured to, control the display to display a plurality of elements on a screen, based on the size of the display area decreasing by the rotation of the roll when the size of the display area is equal to or more than a preset size, control the display to decrease a size of the plurality of elements on the screen based on the size of the display area, and, based on the size of the display area being less than the preset size, control the display to delete at least one of the plurality of elements.
