Summary:The invention relates to an automatic car park (1) with at least one parking level (E1 to E4), comprising a plurality of rows (R1 to R6) of parking spaces (P1 to Pn) arranged horizontally next to one another, wherein a respective parking platform (2.1 to 2.m) is provided at least for a number of parking spaces (P1 to Pn) on which at least one object (3) to be parked can be positioned. In addition, at least one conveying device (4) is provided for transporting the parking platforms (2.1 to 2.m) into a free parking space (P1 to Pn) and out of a parking space (P1 to Pn), wherein each parking space (P1 to Pn) and the conveying device (4) respectively comprise a transport device (6.1 to 6.x) for transporting the respective parking platform (2.1 to 2.m) into an adjacent parking space (P1 to Pn) and out of an adjacent parking space (P1 to Pn). Each transport device (6.1 to 6.x) comprises at least one motor-driven, continuous, circulating conveyor belt (8), wherein a conveying surface (F) of the at least one conveyor belt (8) runs substantially parallel to the undersides (U) of the parking platforms (2.1 to 2.m), wherein at least one transport device (6.1 to 6.x) comprises multiple conveyor belts (8), wherein a transport direction of at least one conveyor belt (8) runs in the direction of the parking spaces (P1 to Pn) arranged one after another in rows, and a transport direction of at least another conveyor belt (8) runs perpendicular to the direction of the parking spaces (P1 to Pn) arranged one after another in rows.
