Summary:The present invention relates to a self-propelled cleaning apparatus (1) having an apparatus housing (2) and at least one drive wheel (3). In order to be able to store the cleaning apparatus (1) in a particularly space-saving manner, this invention proposes that the cleaning apparatus (1) has at least one guide wheel (7) in the area of a front housing part (5) relative to a common orientation of the cleaning apparatus (1) during moving. The wheel peripheral surface (8) for being abutted against an obstacle (10) and/or a base station is protruded at least partially along the moving direction out of a front housing peripheral surface (12) of the apparatus housing (2).
