Summary:There are provided an inverter circuit capable of suppressing a surge voltage even in a case where a switching element having large parasitic capacitance such as an SJ-MOSFET is used, and a power conversion device. An inverter circuit 10 provided in a power conversion device 1 includes a full-bridge inverter 11, and a short circuit part 12, and the short circuit part 12 includes switching elements Q5, Q6, and clamp elements D3, D4 connected to the switching elements Q5, Q6. The clamp elements D3, D4 suppress application of an excessive voltage such as a surge voltage to the switching elements Q5, Q6.
