Summary:An in-situ incremental reheating system configured to increase steam temperature and thermodynamic efficiencies of a steam turbine is disclosed. The system includes a pump; a radiant heater; piping inter-connecting the pump, radiant heater and steam turbine to create a flow circuit; and a heat transfer material configured to flow through the flow circuit and transfer heat directly to steam used in the steam turbine. The pump moves the heat transfer material through the flow circuit and the radiant heater regenerates the heat transfer material after the heat transfer material transfers heat to the steam.
