The jounce bumper (272') can include a bumper body (286') with a sensing passage (302) extending therethrough such that the sensing device (262) can communicate through the sensing passage (302). The sensing device (262) is disposed with a sensor shield (318) at least partially in the sensing passage (302). A gas spring assembly including a sensing device (262) and such a jounce bumper (272') as well as a suspension system including one or more of such gas spring assemblies are also included.
