The invention relates to a connection device (12) for connecting a gas pipe (10) of a gas stove top (2) to a gas connection (8) of a gas valve (4) of the gas stove top (2), said connection device (12) comprising an engagement portion (13) designed to grip a mating engagement portion (11) on the gas pipe (10) when the connection device (12) slides onto the gas pipe (10), and a threaded engagement portion (21) that can axially slide onto a thread (9) on the gas connection (8) in order for the gas pipe (10) to be connected to the gas valve (4).
