Summary:A fluid conduit assembly for delivery of a medication fluid, comprises a structure defining a flow path (406) for the medication fluid; and a gas trapping filter (402) coupled to the structure and positioned in the flow path to filter particulates from the medication fluid and retain gas bubbles from the medication fluid; wherein the gas trapping filter (402) is fabricated from material having microcavities formed therein for trapping and retaining gas bubbles from the medication fluid. Suitable materials for the gas trapping filter (402) are polyacrylate; polyurethane; nylon; cellulose acetate; polyvinyl alcohol; polyethelene foam; polyvinyl acetate (PVA); polyester fiber felt; polyester (PET); polysulfone; polyethyl sulfone; collagen; and polycaprolactone.
