Summary:A light emitting apparatus (10) according to the present invention includes: a mounting substrate (11); a plurality of supporting bodies disposed on the mounting substrate (11); and a plurality of light emitting devices (19) disposed on upper surfaces of the plurality of supporting bodies. The plurality of light emitting devices (19) are arranged on each of plurality of supporting bodies in a plurality of rows in a direction perpendicular to an alignment direction (along AX) of the plurality of supporting bodies. In a preferred embodiment the light emitting devices have different lengths in the direction perpendicular to the alignment direction.
