Summary:Techniques for propagating communication awareness for communication sessions are described. In at least some embodiments, a communication session refers to an exchange of communication media between different communication endpoints. According to various embodiments, communication awareness of a communication session is propagated among various autonomous networks involved in routing the communication session. Communication awareness, for instance, is propagated out-of-band from a data stream that carries the communication session.
