Summary:The present invention relates to a refrigeration appliance having a cooling or refrigeration compartment for preserving foodstuff, a compressor circulating a refrigerant fluid, a condenser providing the refrigerant fluid to be condensed, an evaporator placed in an evaporator interspace (3) separated from the refrigeration compartment by means of an evaporator liner (2) and effecting refrigeration by absorbing the ambient thermal energy, a defrost system for defrosting evaporator coils and a water discharge line (4) leading from the evaporator interspace (3) to a discharge line outlet (10) so as to allow drainage of defrost water.
