Summary:The invention relates to a plug-in device combination for protecting an electrical network against overvoltages or overcurrents, comprising a device socket (1), which has an approximately U-shaped main housing (3) having a recess (4) for accommodating a plug-in module (2), wherein the plug-in module (2) has an inner housing (7) having a protective element arranged therein and has a hood-shaped outer housing (8) that can be displaced to a limited extent between a first, lower position and a second, upper position in relation to the inner housing (7). A locking connection that acts between the device socket (1) and the inner housing (7) of the plug-in module (2) is provided, which locking connection comprises a resilient locking arm (10) having a locking nose (11) and comprises a locking opening (12) or a locking projection (13). Furthermore, a window (15) is formed in an end face (14) of the outer housing (8) of the plug-in module (2), which window interacts with the locking arm (10) in such a way that the locking arm (10) is not deflected in the first, lower position of the outer housing (8), such that the plug-in module (3) is secured in the recess (4) by the locking connection in the completely inserted state, while the locking arm (10) is defected against the spring force of the locking arm in the second, upper position of the outer housing (8), whereby the locking connection is eliminated.
