Summary:A fuel additive composition is provided comprising a viscosity index improver (VII) polymer component, wherein the VII polymer is comprised predominantly within a solid particulate phase; and a liquid phase component. The additive demonstrates lower viscosity and can be added to fuel compositions, especially diesel, without significantly altering the overall characteristics of the fuel blend. Fuels comprising the additive composition demonstrate improved performance. Methods of using and making the fuel additive compositions are also provided.
