The invention relates to a method for connecting a substrate to silicone rubber, wherein the silicone rubber is treated with UV radiation in such a way that bonding between the substrate surface and the silicone rubber surface occurs when the silicone rubber is brought into contact with the substrate surface. The invention further relates to a silicone rubber prepared for connection to a substrate according to the method according to the invention and to a composite that was produced according to the method according to the invention.
