Summary:A drying device (100) including multiple heating rollers (31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36) to dry a recording medium (S) wound around the heating rollers (31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36) while conveying the recording medium (S) is provided. The heating rollers include upstream heating rollers (31,32) and downstream heating rollers (33, 34, 35, 36), disposed on an upstream side and a downstream side, respectively, relative to a direction of conveyance of the recording medium (S). Each of the upstream heating rollers (31,32) includes an upstream heat source (310). Each of the downstream heating rollers (33, 34, 35, 36) includes a downstream heat source (360). The upstream heat source (310) and the downstream heat source (360) have different configurations. The upstream heat source (310) has a maximum amount of current greater than that of the downstream heat source (360).
