Summary:The present invention relates to a tissue clipping apparatus, comprising a capsule (400, 480) having a proximal end with at least one first proximal capsule tab (412, 482, 486), a clip including a proximal end received within the capsule (400, 480), the clip including a clip locking member biased to engage a first locking structure of the capsule (400, 480) to lock the clip in the capsule in a closed configuration, a tension member releasably coupling the clip to a proximal end of a device which, during use, remains accessible to a user, the tension member being coupled to the clip by a joint (138) designed to release when subject to a predetermined load to separate the clip from the device, release of the joint releasing the locking member to engage the first locking structure, a bushing (404) releasably coupling a handle (1500, 2000) and the capsule (400, 480), and an interlock tube (402, 450, 454, 462) located between the capsule (400, 480) and the bushing (404), wherein the interlock tube (402, 450, 454, 462) comprises a portion (456) receiving the proximal capsule tab (412, 482, 486).
