Summary:A method and an apparatus for providing a plurality of applications are provided. The method includes control the display to display a first execution of a first application in a full screen, receive a first input comprising a line drawn across a part of the first execution screen, and the first area being larger or smaller than the second area, split a screen on the display into a first window of a first predetermined size and a second window of a second predetermined size in response to the first input, control the display to display at least a part of the first execution screen on the first window, control the display to display an application list on the second window, receive a second input for selecting an application from the application list, and control the display to display a second screen related to the selected application on the second window in response to the second input.
