CONDENSED WATER TREATMENT DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A condensed water treatment device determines whether a storage water quantity Qw of condensed water generated in an EGR cooler and stored in a condensed water tank is equal to or less than a lower limit t1 (S2). When the storage water quantity Qw is equal to or less than the lower limit t1, the flo...

Summary:A condensed water treatment device determines whether a storage water quantity Qw of condensed water generated in an EGR cooler and stored in a condensed water tank is equal to or less than a lower limit t1 (S2). When the storage water quantity Qw is equal to or less than the lower limit t1, the flow rate of the EGR cooler is set to 100% and the flow rate of a bypass passage is set to 0% (S3), whereby supply of condensed water to an internal combustion engine is stopped (S5). Thereby, the condensed water treatment device increases the storage water quantity Qw. While, when the storage water quantity Qw is more than the lower limit t1 and also equal to or more than the upper limit t2, the flow rate of the EGR cooler is set to 0% and the flow rate of the bypass passage is set to 100% (S7), whereby supply of condensed water to the internal combustion engine is executed (S9). Thereby, the condensed water treatment device decreases the storage water quantity Qw.
