Summary: | A system for use in detection of current leakages in an electrical power supply (51) device is presented. Current leakages in an electrical power supply device operating under a residual current device (57d) are detected by a sensing unit (54n) that measures residual currents in the electrical power device. A control unit (54r) processes measured signals from the sensing unit and generates output signals corresponding to leakage fault indications according to predetermined permissible amplitude and time duration defined according to operational boundaries of the residual current device. The control unit comprises an analyzing unit (54z) for receiving and processing the measured signals. The analyzing unit is capable of identifying that amplitude of the measured signals is greater than the predetermined permissible amplitude, and responsively generating indication signals indicative of current leakage conditions. A processing unit (54p) of the control unit determines a time duration of the current leakage conditions based on the indication signals from the analyzing unit and generates output signals corresponding to leakage fault indications whenever the time duration exceeds the predetermined permissible time duration. |
