Summary: | To obtain a permanent magnet type motor capable of securing controllability of a motor and utilizing reluctance torque. An armature winding (12) is a plurality of sets of polyphase windings; the plurality of sets of the armature winding (12) is supplied with current from each individual inverter; the rotor core (18) is provided with permanent magnets (19) on a surface portion thereof, the permanent magnets (19) being circumferentially arranged and the adjacent permanent magnets (19) having polarities opposite to each other; a protrusion portion (46) is provided between the adjacent permanent magnets (19), the protrusion portion (46) being provided in a protruding condition from the rotor core (18) and being made of a magnetic substance; and a non-magnetic gap portion (47) is interposed between the protrusion portion (46) and the permanent magnet (19) in a rotating shaft direction. |
