Summary:A description is given of a synthetic broom, in particular a grass broom (1), which comprises a handle (2) and a bristle part (3) made up of fibres or bristles (4) made of a synthetic material. The invention provides that the bristle part (3) is in the form of a bristle carpet (5) made up of fibres (4) which are arranged parallel one beside the other and are connected to one another along a linear or band-like connecting region (7), wherein the bristle carpet (5) has been wound helically. The synthetic broom (1) according to the invention is distinguished by a high level of flexibility and good spring-back behaviour.
