Summary:A device for or passenger compartment lighting of a motor vehicle, which comprises a light source and a light guide, the light source extending in front of a main face of the guide, the light guide comprising at least one coupling face capable of reflecting into the light guide at least a part of the light emitted by the light source, and at least two decoupling faces at a distance from one another and arranged so as to reflect toward an output face of the light guide the light coming from the coupling face. This device furthermore comprises a reading light.
