Summary:A ventilation arrangement with a vapour extraction hood, particularly in the form of a fume extractor for the kitchen area, can be connected by means of an outlet connector to a ventilating system and has a housing-like structure. In the installed position, the extractor, together with an upper cover part and longitudinal and transverse side parts angled off therefrom forms a vapour receiving space open towards the bottom. From this space, vapour containing water and/or fat is received via a separator in at least one channel and routed as largely cleaned exhaust air to the outlet connector. The channel is furnished with a return connection capturing at least part of the filtered exhaust air. The vapour extraction hood according to the invention is furnished with at least one branch channel forming the return connection in such a manner that part of the clean air can be conveyed by means of the branch channel out of the area of a distribution shaft or the channel directly into the vapour receiving space.
