Summary: | In an electrophoretic display substrate, an electrophoretic display layer includes a dispersion medium and an electrophoretic ink display element (15) which is charged, a first substrate (1) includes a gate line, a data line, a thin film transistor, a sub pixel electrode (10), a capacitor element (20) including first and second electrodes (8, 7), capacitor element electrode lines (3, 3A, 3B), and common electrode lines (4, 25), one of a source and drain terminals (12, 13) of the thin film transistor is connected to the data line, the other one of the source and drain terminals thereof is connected to the sub pixel electrode and the first electrode (8), the capacitor element electrode lines are connected to the second electrode (7), a common electrode (14) is formed on one surface of the second substrate (2) and a color filter layer is formed on the other surface, the common electrode is connected to the common electrode lines, and the color filter layer includes a transparent resin (6) which is laminated on the second substrate and color filter pixels (26, 27, 28, 29) which are formed on the resin. |
