Summary: | The present invention relates to an abrasion resistant steel comprising 2.6-4.5 wt% of manganese (Mn), 0.05-1.0 wt% of silicon (Si), carbon (C) in an amount satisfying (6-Mn)/50 # C # (10-Mn)/50 by weight, and the balance of iron (Fe) and other inevitable impurities, wherein the Brinell hardness on a surface layer thereof is a value of 360-440. In addition, the present invention relates to an abrasion resistant steel further comprising one or more components selected from the group consisting of 0.1 wt% or less of niobium (Nb) (not including 0 wt%), 0.1 wt% or less of vanadium (V) (not including 0 wt%), 0.1 wt% or less of titanium (Ti) (not including 0 wt%), and 0.02 wt% or less of boron (B) (not including 0 wt%) to complement the performance thereof. Further, the present invention relates to an abrasion resistant steel, wherein the microstructure comprises 90 % or more of martensite, and the average packet size of martensite is 20 µm or less. |
