Summary:The invention concerns a rolling bearing (1) comprising an inner ring (2), an outer ring (3) and a row of rolling elements (4) between the rings (2, 3). At least one of the said rings (3) comprises a housing (6), at least two raceway elements (7, 8) mounted in the housing (6) and at least one pre-stressing element (9) mounted in the housing. At least one pre-stressing element (9) mounted in one ring (3) is provided with at least one portion (92) having a circumferential extension of less than 360° and in sliding contact with the other ring (2).
