Summary:A method of assembling a sous-vide cooker (100) in a housing (160) is provided. The method comprises providing a chamber (111) having a bottom interior surface, including a circulator (114), including a heating unit (141) and arranging one or more temperature sensors (142) exterior to the chamber (111), inplementing a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller (143) and placing a control panel (144), wherein the PID controller (143) has been programmed with a temperature correction algorithm for converting temperatures measured by the one or more temperature sensors (142) into actual water temperature in the chamber (111) based on a predetermined formula, and wherein the heating unit (141) heats the chamber (111) and the PID controller (143) controls the heating unit (141) using the one or more temperature sensors (142) and the difference between a preset temperature and the actual water temperature.
