Summary:This assembly includes an elastic and porous base spring layer intended to be placed facing a surface, in particular of an automobile vehicle, and an intermediate insulation layer impervious to the passage of air, the intermediate layer being positioned on the base spring layer. The airproof intermediate layer has a surface mass density of less than 500 g/m2, the sound proofing assembly including a porous stiffening layer, positioned in contact with the impervious intermediate layer. The porous stiffening layer has a smaller thickness than the thickness of the base spring layer and a flexural stiffness, reduced to a unit width, of more than 0.01 N.m.
