Summary:Embodiments relate to non-invasive medical devices, systems and methods for the detection of coronary artery disease. In an embodiment, a handheld coronary artery disease (CAD) detection device is used in a non-invasive manner to determine whether an internal coronary artery blockage is present. The CAD detection device can be used in conjunction with an identification element, such as scanning area identification pads or a scanning area guide, to aid in the proper placement of the CAD detection device while scanning a patient. Advantages of embodiments include non-invasive test procedures; quick results; and cost-effectiveness.
