Summary:In an apparatus for a cogeneration system having a gas engine, a generator and a motor-driven jet having a stepper motor that moves a needle between a fully-opened position P1 and a fully-closed position P2 such that gas is regulated and mixed with air, the apparatus conducts initialization processing to rotate the stepper motor by M steps to move the needle towards one of the positions P1 and P2 (S10), and then to rotate the stepper motor by S steps to move the needle towards the other of the position P1 and P2 (S12), when defining the steps as N > M > S (where N: a number of steps for the needle to move from P1 up to P2; M: a number of steps for the needle to move towards one of P1 and P2; S: a number of steps for the needle to move towards the other of P1 and P2 and indicating a desired position of the needle at starting the engine by a recoil starter).
