A blower, comprising: a housing including an inlet and an outlet, a bearing-housing structure provided to the housing and adapted to rotatably support a rotor; the rotor; an impeller provided to the rotor; a motor adapted to drive the rotor, the motor including a stator assembly; wherein the bearing-housing structure includes a housing part and a bearing cartridge provided to the housing part, the bearing cartridge including a tubular sleeve and two spaced-apart bearings supported within the sleeve to support the rotor; wherein the bearing-housing structure is structured to define at least a portion of a volute to direct air towards the outlet; wherein the stator assembly is provided along an exterior surface of the tubular sleeve of the bearing cartridge, and wherein the housing part of the bearing-housing structure includes a base providing a tube portion to support the bearing cartridge, wherein the housing part further includes an annular disk extending from the base.
