Summary:A headrest system comprises a headrest (16, 17), a bracket to which the headrest (11) is mounted and an actuator (12). The actuator (12) is configured to displace at least a portion (17) of the headrest (16, 17) relative to the bracket in a displacement direction (19) which is transverse to a longitudinal member of the bracket. The actuator (12) comprises a spindle transmission (22, 23) and a power drive coupled to the spindle transmission (22, 23). The spindle transmission (22, 23) comprises a spindle (22) and a spindle nut (23) engaged with the spindle (22). The power drive is arranged in a cavity (19) defined within an outer shell of the headrest (16, 17).
