Summary: | A finger vein authentication processing unit 100 includes a placing unit 10 for placing a finger F of a hand, an imaging unit 30 imaging a vein pattern of the finger F placed on the placing unit 10, a control unit 40 (an authentication processing unit) performing authentication processing by using the vein pattern imaged by the imaging unit 30 and an external-light blocking cover 50 which covers the finger F placed on the placing unit 10 to block external light incident on the imaging unit 30. The external-light blocking cover 50 has a slit 52 for visually recognizing the finger F covered by the external-light blocking cover 50 from the outside of the external-light blocking cover 50. The slit 52 limits a visible angle of the finger F to 60 degrees or less. |
