A bronze/type titanium oxide having a pigment pH of 4 or more as measured according to the pigment test method defined in JIS, and a titanium composite oxide of bronze structure further containing at least one metal element and/or non-metal element other than Ti and 0, as well as a method for manufacturing the same.
