Summary:The method involves defining a counting position (8) in a product band (6). The target position (1c) in the picker line (1) is changed in a shifting region (1b), when product band and a container conveyor belt (7) move at the specified speed. The actual speed of the slowest container conveyor belt is changed such that the target position is displaced relative to the counting position in the shifting region, during shifting of the products on the product band at the associated counting position, and according to deviation of the maximum number of times of the transported products. An independent claim is included for a robotic line.
