Summary: | The method involves receiving information relative to actual conditions regarding an environment and a runway (15), and determining a maximum shift (Dmax) corresponding to the maximum longitudinal shift along the runway. Predetermined criteria and the maximum shift are determined, where an actual shift (Deff) is less than the maximum shift. A shift point (P0f) is shifted from a threshold of the runway along a downstream direction. An adaptive aiming point (P1f) is calculated from the shift point. The adaptive aiming point is transmitted to a landing aid unit of an aircraft. An independent claim is also included for a device for assisting flight management of an aircraft during a landing phase.
