Summary:The invention relates to a method for influencing the deformation behaviour of seat back structure (14) and a seat base structure (12) in a targeted manner, which are connected by means of a seat back adjuster (16, 18) comprising fittings (16; 16A, 16B; 18; 18A, 18B) to form a vehicle seat structure having adjustable inclination. The material of at least one area (Bn; Bn.m) of the seat structure (10) and/or of the seat back adjuster (16, 18) are/is heated at least in sections by means of a laser light source, wherein by means of the laser light source at least in sections at least one strengthening structure (Vn) is produced, which is in the form of at least one line and/or a line pattern, whereby the seat structure (10) and/or the seat back adjuster (16, 18) have/has an increased structural strength in the at least one area (Bn; Bn.m) laser-strengthened by the strengthening structure (Vn). The invention also relates to a vehicle seat structure (10) comprising a seat back structure (14) and a seat base structure (12) that are connected to each other by way of at least one seat back adjuster (16, 18) having a fitting (16A, 16B; 18; 18A, 18B) so that the inclination of said structures is adjustable.
