Summary:The invention relates to a method for correcting an air path error of a cylinder of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, wherein, with increasing variation (delta LI) of an air volume of the cylinder, an injection quantity of the cylinder is corrected, wherein, in the case of an air path error having a slight variation (delta lambda 1) of a lambda variable (lambda 1) of the cylinder up to a limit variation (delta lambda IG) of the lambda variable (lambda 1), the injection quantity of the cylinder of a torque equalisation (delta M1=0) is changed, increasing the variation (delta lambda 1) of the lambda variable (lambda 1), and in the event of an air path error with the limit variation (delta lambda IG) of the lambda variable (lambda 1) of the cylinder, the injection quantity of the cylinder is changed so as to hold the lambda variable (delta lambda 1 = delta lambda IG) at a constant value.
