Summary: | Preparing an aromatic amine, comprises reacting a corresponding aromatic alcohol with an aminating agent including ammonia, primary amines or secondary amines, in the presence of hydrogen and a catalyst molding at 60-300[deg] C, where the catalyst molding comprises zirconium, palladium and platinum and an annular tablet form with an external diameter of 2-6 mm and a height of 1-4 mm and an internal diameter of 1-5 mm or a topologically equivalent form with the same volume. An independent claim is also included for a catalyst molding comprising zirconium, palladium and platinum, where the catalyst molding has an annular tablet form with an external diameter of 3-6 mm, height of 1-4 mm and an internal diameter of 2-5 mm or topologically equivalent form. |
