The present invention describes a device which allows removing the casing from a tire or part of a tire allowing the subsequent use thereof as an independent product in other industries. The two methods allowing such removal are also object of the invention. The removal device for removing the casing (C) from a tire (N) or part thereof, has a main structure comprising: €¢ a first support (3) mainly extending into a plane (P) adapted for perimetral support, €¢ a second support (2) in which there are arranged supporting or securing means (2.1) adapted for either securing a bead or a sidewall of the casing (C) located on one of the sides of the tire (N), or for applying pressure on the same bead or on the sidewall of the casing (C), €¢ guiding means (2.2) for guiding the second support (2) to allow the axial movement of said support (2) where the axial movement (E) is perpendicular to the plane (P), €¢ driving means (2.3) of the second support (2) for driving it according to the direction imposed by the guiding means (2.2), wherein the driving means (2.3) are adapted for lowering the bead or sidewall of the casing (C) towards the opposite side of the tire (N) to separate the casing (C) from the rest of the tire (N) by ripping.
