An independent claim is included for a veterinary kit for the treatment of heart failure in non-human subjects, comprising at least a compartment comprising a daily dose of the aldosterone antagonist of greater than 1 mg/kg/day to less than 5 mg/kg/day, preferably 4 mg/kg/day.
