Summary:The invention relates to a security element (1) and a value document and/or security document (41) having such a security element (1) and a method for producing such a security element (1). The security element (1) comprises an optically active element (5) with respect to which an optical axis (6) is defined, and which is designed for reflecting or reflectively refracting directed radiation (8) impinging on the optically active element (5) along the optical axis (6) in a defined manner with respect to the optical axis (6) and preferably deviating from the geometric optics, by one or more angles (a1 - an) preferably greater than a minimum angle, a projection element (10), and a spacer element (2) transparent to the radiation (8, 9), wherein the projection element (10) and the optically active element (5) are disposed or implemented on opposite sides (3, 4) of the spacer element (2) and are optically conductively connected to each other by means of the spacer element (2), so that radiation (9) reflected and/or reflectively refracted in a defined manner upon impinging of the directed radiation (8) along the optical axis (6) generates a perceivable projection on the projection element (2).
