Summary:A method for determining at least one set of communications capabilities that are common to physical counterparts of endpoints (240, 242) affiliated with a group in a communications system having a plurality of endpoints, each comprising a logical entity and its physical counterpart, the method comprises retrieving (504) a list of endpoints affiliated with a group, retrieving (506) communications capabilities of a physical counterpart of each affiliated endpoint, and determining (508) whether at least one set of group communication capabilities can be generated that includes communications capabilities that are common to the physical counterparts of at least a subset of the affiliated endpoints, and if so generating (510) the at least one set of group communications capabilities.
