The device has an arrangement of interconnected battery cells (1) comprising a portion that is provided with a retainer, which is designed in a form of a slot (4). An electrical terminal of each battery cell is guided to the retainer. A test module is electrically connected to the battery cells without interrupting the operation of the battery cells such that operating data of a battery system is detected by the test module. Contour of the test module is adapted to the shape of the slot such that the test module is insertable or engagable with the retainer. The retainer and the test module integral are together formed as an integral component of the battery cell. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring operating data of a battery system. Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung dient zur Überwachung von Betriebsdaten einer Batterieanlage. Diese besteht aus einer Anordnung von miteinander verschalteten Batteriezellen (1). Zumindest ein Teil der Batteriezellen (1) weist eine Aufnahme auf, auf welche ein elektrischer Anschluss der Batteriezelle (1) geführt ist. An den Aufnahmen ist ein Testmodul (7) anbringbar. Durch das Anbringen wird das Testmodul (7) elektrisch an die Batteriezelle (1) angeschlossen, ohne den Betrieb der Batteriezelle (1) zu unterbrechen. Mit dem Testmodul (7) sind Betriebsdaten erfassbar. Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Überwachung von Betriebsdaten einer Batterieanlage.
