Summary:The flap (1) has a flap plate (2) for closing and/or opening a flap opening (3), which is designed in a housing (4). The flap plate includes an inner side (5), which is aligned towards the housing. A narrowing projection i.e. spherical cap (15), is arranged on the inner side of the flap plate and projects into the flap opening. The plate is movable away from the housing during opening the flap opening. The flap plate includes a lever arm (10), which is pivotably arranged at the housing. A height of the cap includes 10 to 80 percentage of a radius of the cap. An independent claim is also included for a method for opening and closing a non-return flap. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Rückschlagklappe (1), die ein Gehäuse (4) und einen Klappenteller (2) aufweist, wobei auf dem Klappenteller (2) ein Verengungsvorbau (7) derart angeordnet ist, dass zwischen dem Verengungsvorbau (7) und dem Gehäuse (4) ein Umfangs-Strömungskanal (9) gebildet wird, durch den eine Erhöhung der Strömungsgeschwindigkeit des Strömungsmediums erreichbar ist.
