The exhaust gases (19) in an exhaust gas stream (21) of the gas turbine power plant are sent for recirculation into a suction flow of the gas turbine (6), and the exhaust gas stream (24) is discharged to the environment. A control element (29) is arranged for controlling the exhaust gas stream (21), until entire amount of exhaust gases of the gas turbine power plant is discharged as the exhaust gas stream (24) to the environment, to expose a portion of the exhaust gases as the exhaust gas stream (21) into the suction flow of gas turbine for re-circulation.
